Bio

NoMarkSpiral_Cover_08-16-2018-1.jpg

I want to do as much good as I can while living joyfully.

I was born December 9, 1993 in Queens to Russian-Jewish refugees. Some of my earliest memories are falling asleep staring into a bright reading lamp. From the ages of ten to fifteen I was a competitive chess player.

I got my BA in Poetry and Translation from Swarthmore college and my MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University. I’m currently based in Los Angeles, and I’m literally certified as a clown.

I love speculative fiction, clowning, drag, rock climbing, horror, xenobiology, underwater stuff, strings, being in nature, board games, public health, and people.

I’m the founder and host of the monthly SoCal Covid Cautious Queer Speculative Fiction Club!

I use she/her pronouns, and I’m left handed!
